Doctors trained in Western medicine do a stellar job addressing acute conditions. Take COVID-19 for example. They are on the front lines of what's happening to humanity currently, risking their lives to save ours. So, when it comes to acute care, hands down, we have some of the best care money can buy.
When it comes to chronic-care, however, those who have been dealt the unfortunate hand of hormonal, thyroid and autoimmune conditions know all too well - medical care falls short of a miracle.
It took me FIVE years to get a diagnosis. Five long years of being told that it's all in my head, that I need to exercise more, eat less and...just live with it.
For some of my clients, it takes as long or longer. However, even once diagnosed, things do not often get better. And, frequently, things get worse. Medicines, prescribed to deal with such conditions, come with a long list of possible side-effects. For example, Levothyroxine, prescribed to those with hypothyroid conditions, lists over 67 possible side effects!
Supplements are not much better. Many have multiple side effects possibilities, and most are powerless to address the root cause of the problem.
And surgeries, which should be the last resort, used only to save a life, since many lead to extraction of one or more organs, leave women feeling maimed and hopeless.
To make things even more hopeless, because the Western system focuses on sickness management, most of us hear that what we have is not fixable, not curable, and certainly, not healable. And that we will suffer for the rest of our lives.
So, while well-meaning, inadvertently, our doctors often set us up for a lifetime of misery and hopelessness.
But...it does not have to be this way!

I did a little research recently while putting together my media page. I pulled up every hormone imbalance I've ever worked with to see how many people are impacted by them. Then, I pulled up how much money is spent annually on health practices that do not work.

And this is only the financial piece of such conditions.
Let's look at the human cost.
The numbers are staggering. It looks like we either know someone suffering from one of these conditions or are suffering ourselves. But these numbers fail to show the real cost - the quality of life sacrificed by women who suffer and the people in their lives. They do not tell us about their suffering, pain, fear and the feeling of hopelessness.
Here is the good news, however...
Most of these conditions can be prevented and reversed with simple dietary and lifestyle changes.
The bad news is that the medical industry says that THERE IS NO CURE for any of them.
Could it be because they get to benefit from the plight of millions of women?
While billions are spent annually in an attempt to treat these conditions, it seems that the only winners in this game are the insurance companies, Big Pharma and the medical industry. The longer these women stay sick, the more money they stand to make.
What's unfortunate is that these women are stuck using outdated health principles that cause them more harm than good.
